STANDING COMMITTEE DUTIES
DOCKS AND WINTER STORAGE
Maintain and supervise the use of the docks, floats, hoists and work float equipment of the Club. This committee is also responsible for the planning and execution of winter boat storage.
HOUSE AND GROUNDS
Supervise the use and maintenance of the clubhouse, boathouse and other buildings and grounds of the Club. This committee will participate with the Launch Committee in the supervision of Club Attendants. This committee is also responsible for planning the annual spring and fall work parties.
LAUNCH
Maintain all boats and motors owned by the Club, and set the schedule of launch service. At the end of each summer season the Committee will report to the Board of Governors about any major repairs necessary before the next season. The Committee must also arrange for and supervise all Club Attendants in conjunction with the House and Grounds Committee.
MOORINGS
Establish mooring areas, arrange for the setting, putting, and maintenance of moorings and to allocate moorings for the use of members and guests of the Club. The Mooring Committee may refuse to permit any boat to be placed or remain on a Club mooring if it determines that the boat might damage its mooring or in any way imperil itself or other boats.
NEWSLETTER
Keep the membership informed of Club activities and matters of interest through the publication of a monthly newsletter.
PUBLICITY
Arrange publicity for Club activities, to arrange for Club
participation in exhibitions, and to arrange for annual outings on
RACE
Organize and supervise the Club’s racing activities, to conduct all races in accordance with the rules of the United States Sailing Association, to arrange for Race Committees, to keep and publish a record in appropriate detail of all races, and to be in charge of selecting and awarding all trophies.
CRUISING
Plan and oversee the summer cruising program. This committee may recommend against participation by a member in a particular cruising event if in their judgment the member is not sufficiently prepared to safely make the trip.
SOCIAL
Manage all of the social functions of the Club. In most cases the Committee will solicit membership volunteers to run each of the events.
WEB SITE
Maintain the Club web site in accordance with the directives of the Board of Governors.
